2013 Nantucket Maritime Festival

The 2013 Maritime Festival will take place on Saturday, September 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Children’s Beach & Brant Point.  The purpose of the Maritime Festival is to celebrate the joy of living on an island and to experience time-honored maritime activities on and beside the sea that surrounds it.

The festival will be packed with free activities for the whole family, on the water, beach and grass:  build your own boat races, oyster shucking contests, entertainment by maritime musical groups, kid's activity tent and paddleboarding are just a few of the programs that will be offered by Nantucket’s non-profit organizations.  Food will be available for purchase on site. So bring your enthusiasm and bring kids, it's a great day to spend on Nantucket!
